Chris Palmer

Mental Performance Coach — Piranha Training

Chris Palmer, M.A. in Psychology, is a Hockey Mental Performance Coach who trains individuals, coaches, and teams from house leagues to Tier 1 youth hockey across the U.S., Juniors, D3, D1, the AHL, NHL, Pro and Amateur in the US, Europe and Canada.

 

He trains “heart, head, and guts” with a proven process that helps athletes, coaches, and teams manage distractions, increase focus and intensity, reset quickly after failures, maximize mental toughness and motivation, and develop a grinding and intense compete level. As a former NCAA runner, x2 All-American, and Nike-sponsored athlete, Chris brings a great deal of knowledge in athletics and in the mental performance space. His company, Piranha Training was built to train hockey players to use the mental side of performance for an advantage in high-level competition.  

 

Although he primarily trains hockey players, Chris works with Schoolcraft College as their Mental Performance Coach for all enrolled athletes and has coached individuals in football, soccer, archery, weightlifting, baseball, track, cross country, and Olympic ice dance, basketball, swimming and volleyball.

Chris is also a co-host on the Dialed & Driven Hockey Mentality Podcast with our CEO and Founder, Jeff Lerg. Chris' expertise in Mental Performance and experiences through running compliments the mission behind the goal of the podcast, to provide actionable tools to help all athletes get what they want in life.
